Did you know that when it gets cold enough outside, electronics stop working? My remote for my camera refused to work unless I warmed in in my hand for 10 seconds. 40 seconds and 4 pictures later, I gave up. Good thing I'm such a good poser, right?

I get so frustrated when my remote is cold :) And I like the way you style this blazer! Simple is lovely with something like this.

That is a great colored blazer - I need more colored blazers in my life! And stay warm girl - MN is even worse!

Okay, so tell me about these Joe's Jeans. I've seen them in stores, but I haven't tried them yet...mostly because I am so short. Do you love them? I'm in the market!
ReplyDeleteLove how you put this outfit together, and all of your red blazer outfits have told me I need one in my life!
That happens to me sometimes too - I think sometimes it's good to try to shake things up and wear a piece a different way, but sometimes I say if it's cute (like all of these outfits!), then just go with it!
ReplyDeleteYou've convinced me... I need a red blazer! Great pics, even in the cold :)
ReplyDeleteYou make me want to get a red blazer, so I'd say you did a good job wearing it!
ReplyDeleteBRRRR!!! Stay warm, love! That red blazer is perfect to perk up a cold day!

I LOVE that blazer. I wish they worked for me better than they do.
ReplyDeleteAlso, what camera and remote do you have? Have been thinking about getting one. And...what time of day do you take your pictures? Sorry--just trying to get better :)
1. Were you really outside taking photos on a day other than Saturday? It was so darn cold! I fail at winter outfit pictures because no one wants to see the same coat over and over again! ;-)
ReplyDelete2. Love the red blazer!
haha yes! I take my pictures before work every day so I was FREEZING this day, but only for those 40 seconds and then immediately jumped into my car. I know it looks a little ridiculous, being without a coat outside but it's the only way I've figured out how to do it! Spring needs to get her ASAP!
Deletegirl you are dedicated! i can't imagine try to do a self shoot in this kind of weather. you should go compete on ANTM and knock all the other girls out of the running with your insta-posing.
ReplyDeleteCuuuuute jeans, girl. I need to get a new pair of bootcut jeans. They're the most flattering on me for sure and creates such an "adult" silhouette with a blazer!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm glad I can always come to your blog and not be insulted by a girl dancing among greenery in a pair of shorts and tank top saying "OMG, we're having a heat wave!". No hate. Just jealousy. Still enjoying negative degree weather here in Michigan. I've not taken pictures outside in at least two weeks. You're much braver than I. <3
That's sad! :( So cold, so cold. I really didn't want to even take pictures outside yesterday but it happened... ready for some warmer weather JUST a little warmer ;)
ReplyDeleteLove this red blazer and your hair looks amazing!
You look so classy in your blazer/bootcut jeans/flats! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI'm filled with regret right now - I had this blazer in my hands at Old Navy a few weeks ago (for $15!!) and I put it back because I wasn't sure if I'd know how to style it...now after seeing your pictures, I wish I had gotten it! Maybe I'll go back after work and pray they still have it...

i love red blazers! and who cares if you wear it with similar items - it just means its a fantastic go to outfit in your wardrobe. ;)
ReplyDeleteand so cold that your remote stopped working? uhh, i freeze when we get below 50. haha.
I don't think you could pay me to take pictures outside in this weather. And it's not like I have super strong moral fiber, I'm fairly easily bought. Props to you, o brave Wisconsinite.

I would have given up too!! I was home in Minnesota for the Holidays and I thought I might die in that cold while shooting outfit shots. Love how many scarves you were able to pair with that gorgeous color blazer!

I have that blazer! I feel so fashionable!! You look great!
ReplyDeleteHey at least you have a remote! I got one for Christmas and was all excited about it... Well turns out my camera doesn't have the infrared sensor to use one. :(
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter how you style that red blazer, because it is totally fabulous on its own!

Ps... What is a no reply commenter?? When I comment on someone's blog, I never get a notification when they reply, is that what it is?
I love your hair curly. A few of my co-worker car wouldn't start yesterday.
ReplyDeleteHahaha to (1) electronics sucking in the cold - midwest probz! I have the same issues, and our car battery actually almost wouldn't start this week because of how cold it is; and (2) not being creative wearing the blazer. It's a classic combo though, red/black/white, so I'm all for seeing reinterpretations of it.
ReplyDeleteYou poor cold thing!!! My bones hurt looking at the pics!! That's dedication!! And this blazer doesn't require much styling effort! It speaks for itself!! Love! Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteWhy fix what's not broken, a scarf with this blazer looks fabulous! Love it!

Your hair looks great today! I try to do something similar all the tine but never can get it right.
ReplyDeleteWow really?? That's crazy! Good thing you got 4 good ones straight up! Love the red blazer - very smart looking :)

i wish i had cold weather problems. :) lovely look!
ReplyDeleteIf its not broke why fix it? Love this look!
ReplyDeleteI'm so over the cold!
Dang! More power to you for taking outside pics when it is freezing! Sometimes I walk outside and just say "nope" and turn right back around haha.
ReplyDeleteAnd the red blazer looks great on you!

Oh sad about the remote. But you know, if you would just move over here everything would be fine. BTW, I really really really like our hair when it's twisted back like that.
ReplyDeleteLove the blazer. I like the sleeve length, it is so much easier (for me) to work in a 3/4 length sleeve.
ReplyDeletelove your blazer! you are really dedicated, it has been BITTER out lately!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! It's very flattering on you too-I love blazers for that very reason.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that you only took 4 pictures, in 40 seconds and they all turned out SO GREAT! :)
ReplyDeleteGeesh, if I had skills like you did, I dont know what I'd do. haha
That blazer is gorgeous on you. Red is definitely your color!

I take like 30+ pics and I'm lucky if I end up with one or two that I like! Sheesh! Can you pose for me?! I really need a lesson on "how to wrap a scarf" too....you so have the method down! Love this outfit!
ReplyDeleteOh my favorite shade of orange :-) You're so good with scarves. Inspiring me to work more into my regular rotation...
ReplyDeletehaha...oh no! I've never tried a remote with a camera - that stinks that it doesn't like the cold either! That red blazer is classic! Sometimes a tee and scarf is all you need!
